Cinnamon rolls are a staple in the Hampton house. The ingredients I use to make pancakes or waffles is the same batter I use for making cinnamon rolls, cinnamon bread or regular bread. You can adjust the amounts depending on how much you are making. The videos below show I make them.
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp molasses
1/8 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 tbsp grapeseed oil
Mix together then lastly, add 1/4 tsp baking soda
Cinnamon rolls recipe.
After adding the above ingredients, begin adding flour to thicken up the dough. Knead dough then place back in your large bowl and let rise for 1/2 to 2 hours. Knead dough again then roll out desired amount for your cinnamon rolls. Generously sprinkle cinnamon on your dough then roll it up into one big roll.
Distribute 1/4 to 1/2 cup of brown sugar on the bottom of your baking dish. If you want nuts, sprinkle those on next. We like to use crushed pecans. Then pour 1 stick of melted butter on top. Immediately cut your cinnamon log into desired roll width and place in baking dish. Let rise for 1/2 to 2 hours then bake for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. Flip your baking dish over to expose the brown sugar, nuts and butter on the top.
