Nearly 100 years ago, Grandpa Carl Hampton made his sourdough starter. Living and working in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming, I doubt he could've imagined his starter would still be going strong 97 years later.

When Carl's son Sam married Phyllis in 1955, Carl handed her his starter and said, "Sam likes sourdoughs". Well, Phyllis didn't know much about sourdough but soon learned and continues baking amazing cinnamon rolls and breads.

Phyllis, along with her son Dan (my husband) and her daughter Janna, passed their knowledge to me. It's now my honor to share it with you!
